Ancient Roman Graffiti is designed to deliver one cited inscription each day without accounts, advertising, or cross-app tracking.

Information the app processes

Reading the daily inscription does not require an account or personal profile.

To keep the daily inscription stable and limit the optional refresh to once per day, the service stores:

  • a randomly generated installation identifier;
  • whether that installation used its optional daily refresh.

If you enable daily notifications, the service also stores:

  • the Apple Push Notification service device token for that installation;
  • your time zone, selected delivery time, and whether notifications are enabled; and
  • a limited delivery record used to prevent the same daily notification from being sent twice.

Like most internet services, the hosting provider may temporarily process standard request information such as an IP address, user agent, timestamps, and diagnostic logs for security and reliable operation.

How information is used

Notification information is used only to schedule and deliver the daily inscription, respect your chosen local time, prevent duplicate delivery, troubleshoot failures, and protect the service.

Sharing

The app does not sell personal information and does not use advertising or third-party analytics. Information is processed by Apple Push Notification service to deliver notifications and by Fly.io to host the service. It may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.

Cookies and tracking

The service uses an encrypted first-party cookie containing the random installation identifier needed to associate notification settings with an installation. It is not used for advertising or tracking across websites or apps.

Retention and control

Turning off Daily inscription stops future notifications. Refresh records, notification settings, and delivery records are retained only as reasonably needed to operate and secure the service and prevent duplicate use or delivery. You may request deletion of installation and notification data by contacting support. You can also revoke notification permission at any time in your device’s Settings.

Children’s privacy

The app is a general-audience educational service and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes and contact
